Abstract

Patient safety is a fundamental component of healthcare quality, particularly in pediatrics, where the unique vulnerabilities of children necessitate specialized safety measures. This research paper explores common patient safety issues in pediatric care, including medication errors, diagnostic errors, communication failures, procedural mishaps, and infection control challenges. The paper examines the contributing factors to these safety issues and provides recommendations for healthcare providers, institutions, and policymakers to enhance pediatric patient safety. Through a review of existing literature and analysis of case studies, this research highlights the critical importance of a systemic approach to patient safety that includes education, communication, and the use of technology.
